OcNOS 7.0.1 Maintenance

Released:
Products: OcNOS-SP, OcNOS-DC

OcNOS 7.0.1 is a maintenance release of the OcNOS 7.0 branch, released on July 7, 2026. On OcNOS SP and DC it adds automatic restart for IS-IS graceful restart, BGP labeled-unicast support for neighbor attribute-unchanged, a physical port maintenance mode, and Fault Management System and OpenConfig translation enhancements. OcNOS SP also adds LDP delayed FTN deletion, dynamic SRLG updates, two-step PTP sync timestamps and 100G port breakout on the UfiSpace S9610-46DX. OcNOS DC adds CPU queue management for control plane policing and LAG as a source for monitor sessions.

What's New

Major additions in this release

IS-IS graceful restart (OcNOS SP and DC)

The restart isis graceful command now restarts the IS-IS process from the CLI, without a manual step in the Linux shell, in line with RFC 5306. The RIB stays active during the restart, so routes stay in the forwarding table.

BGP labeled unicast (OcNOS SP and DC)

The neighbor attribute-unchanged command now applies to the IPv4 and IPv6 labeled-unicast address families, preserving the original next hop and labels for transparent BGP-LU ASBR advertisements.

Port maintenance mode (OcNOS SP and DC)

A phyport configuration mode places a port in a maintenance state with the disable command, suppressing new alarms and clearing existing Fault Management System alarms during planned work.

Fault management and OpenConfig (OcNOS SP and DC)

After a Fault Management System reboot, active interface, PSU, fan and IS-IS, BGP and LDP neighbor alarms are preserved. The OpenConfig translation database now follows the main database during copy operations.

MPLS and timing (OcNOS SP)

LDP delayed FTN deletion holds FTN entries for a configurable time when an interface goes down, SRLG values update dynamically on re-optimized tunnels, and two-step PTP sync uses FIFO-based timestamps.

Platform (OcNOS SP)

100G QSFP28 port breakout into 4x10G or 4x25G on the UfiSpace S9610-46DX, and a phy media command that sets the interface media type to copper, backplane or optics.

Control plane (OcNOS DC)

The cpu-queue command adds rate limiting, monitoring and drop policies for protocol and general CPU queues, with a dedicated management queue on Tomahawk 4, Tomahawk 5 and Trident 4 platforms. Mirror Filtered Packets to CPU accepts a LAG as the source of a sniff monitor session.
