Every OcNOS System ships on one of two validated hardware lines. The OcNOS image, the qualification, the support contract, and the IP Infusion support line are the same on both. The lines differ in the platforms they offer, so the choice follows the role you are filling and your sourcing preferences.

What are IP Infusion OcNOS Systems?
OcNOS Systems are complete, ready to deploy routers and switches. Each unit ships with OcNOS pre-loaded on open Broadcom hardware, coherent optics qualified in the same build, and one support contract covering software, hardware, optics, and RMA. You place one purchase order with IP Infusion and rack a validated system, with no separate NOS licensing, no bare metal sourcing, and no integration project. PRO uses Edgecore hardware and FAST uses UfiSpace, and both cover every role from the 800G AI fabric to the cell site.
Does IP Infusion sell hardware, or only the OcNOS software?
IP Infusion sells complete systems. OcNOS is the software that runs them, but an OcNOS System is a full router or switch: OcNOS pre-loaded on open Broadcom hardware, with coherent optics, integrated and supported by IP Infusion on one PO and one SLA. You can still license OcNOS on its own through a channel partner, but the systems on this page ship as one product, ready to run.
What are PRO and FAST?
PRO and FAST are the two hardware lines of OcNOS Systems. PRO systems ship on Edgecore Networks platforms and FAST systems ship on UfiSpace platforms. The OcNOS software image, the qualification per hardware model and ASIC stepping, the support contract, and the IP Infusion support line are the same on both. The lines differ in the platforms they offer: Edgecore covers the broadest Broadcom range, from Tomahawk 5 at 800G to Qumran 2A at the cell site; UfiSpace adds hardware timing across its range, a Jericho 2C+ open core to 14.4 Tbps, and OpenZR+ coherent optics for IPoDWDM. Both lines cover every role, so the choice follows the platform you need and your sourcing preferences.
Are optics included in an OcNOS System?
Yes. IP Infusion ships both grey and colored optics with the system, more than 100 rigorously tested. Coherent 400G and 800G ZR and ZR+ pluggables and IPoDWDM are qualified with the platform, so IP and optical converge in the same box without external transponders or a separate ROADM shelf. UfiSpace S9610-36D carries 36 by 400G OpenZR+, and the cell site S9510-28DC carries 2 by 400G ZR, with proven interop from multiple vendors.
Who owns support when hardware, software, or optics fails?
IP Infusion owns the full relationship under a single contract: software defects, hardware failures, optics, and RMA logistics. This removes the blame loop that appears when the NOS vendor, the hardware ODM, and the optics supplier are three separate contracts. Support covers the integrated system as one product.
Which roles and platforms do OcNOS Systems cover?
One NOS covers the whole network. AI fabric spine at 800G on Tomahawk 5 (Edgecore AIS800-64D, UfiSpace S9321-64E), EVPN-VXLAN DC spine and leaf on Tomahawk 4, Trident 4, and Trident 3, SR-MPLS metro and open core to 14.4 Tbps on Jericho 2C+ (UfiSpace S9610-36D), aggregation on Qumran 2C and Qumran 2C+, and 5G cell site routing on Qumran 2A (Edgecore AS7535-28XB, UfiSpace S9510-28DC). More than 40 platforms are qualified across both hardware sources.
How are OcNOS Systems qualified before shipment?
Every platform is lab tested by IP Infusion engineering, with the OcNOS build qualified per hardware model and ASIC stepping before it leaves the factory. Coherent optics are validated with the platform. A Day 0 configuration baseline and ZTP onboarding are part of the delivery, and NETCONF/YANG and gNMI telemetry are enabled out of the box.
