Buying Guide

How to buy OcNOS.

You can buy IP Infusion OcNOS three ways: as a complete OcNOS System with hardware, OcNOS, optics, and support on one purchase order, as OcNOS software for a platform on the Hardware Compatibility List, or through an IP Infusion partner (reseller, distributor, or system integrator). IP Infusion scopes a quote directly or routes you to the right partner for your region, and you can start free with the OcNOS VM.

Pick the family, then the edition

OcNOS is sold in two families, each in editions. Choose the family that matches your role, then the edition that includes the features you need. The team confirms the exact edition when you request a quote.

OcNOS-SP

Service provider routing, from L2 and L3 aggregation up through SR-MPLS core, 5G cell-site routing, and 400G IPoDWDM transport. Each edition matches a role, and the Feature Matrix lists what each one includes.

Buying OcNOS: frequently asked questions

How do I buy IP Infusion OcNOS?
Buy a complete OcNOS System with hardware, OcNOS, optics, and support on one purchase order, license OcNOS software for a platform on the Hardware Compatibility List, or buy through an IP Infusion partner (reseller, distributor, or system integrator). You can also contact IP Infusion directly for a quote, and try OcNOS first on the free OcNOS VM.
Where can I buy IP Infusion products?
From IP Infusion partners worldwide, listed by region in the partner directory, or directly from IP Infusion. If no partner is listed for your country, contact IP Infusion and the team connects you with the right one.
Can I buy OcNOS directly from IP Infusion?
Yes. Contact IP Infusion and the team scopes a quote or routes you to the partner for your region. IP Infusion can also supply a complete system with qualified hardware, optics with proven interoperability, and unified support on one purchase order.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. A free OcNOS-SP evaluation VM runs on EVE-NG, GNS3, VirtualBox, VMware, or KVM with a 365-day license, for learning OcNOS and testing Layer 2, Layer 3, MPLS and multicast configurations. No hardware and no credit card are required.
How do I find a reseller or distributor near me?
The IP Infusion partner directory lists resellers, distributors, and system integrators by region. If you do not see a match for your country, contact IP Infusion and the team will connect you with the right partner.
Does IP Infusion supply the hardware and optics too, or only the software?
All three. IP Infusion sells the OcNOS software license, qualified open hardware from vendors such as Edgecore, UfiSpace, and Celestica, and the optics, including coherent 400G ZR and ZR+ for DCI and IPoDWDM. Taken as a complete system they ship on one purchase order under one support contract, so there is no software versus hardware blame loop.
What do I need to provide to get a quote?
The hardware platform and port count you intend to deploy, or ask the team to recommend one. The features and protocols you need, which set the OcNOS edition. The optics reach and rate. The number of units, and the support term you want. With those details, IP Infusion provides a specific quote.
How much does OcNOS cost?
OcNOS is licensed by edition and platform capacity, so the price depends on the switch or router, the edition your features require, the optics, the unit count, and the support term. The OcNOS license is a perpetual use license, and Maintenance and Support with software updates is sold in 1, 3, or 5 year terms. There is no single list price. Send the team those details and they provide a specific quote. The evaluation VM is free.
