Committed to accelerating disaggregation, IP Infusion has been an active member of the TIP community, contributing to innovations within the OOPT group on multiple projects like Disaggregated Cell Site Gateway (DCSG), Cassini (open packet/optical transponder), Phoenix (open white-box transponder), and others.


  • Telecom Infra Project’s Disaggregated Cell Site Gateway (DCSG) was created to define what the future 5G IP aggregation networks would look like. The objective of this project has always been very clear: produce IP solutions that are more open, more efficient, disaggregated, and that can help operators to deploy networks in a fast, robust and economic manner. The DCSG project, which is under Open Optical and Packet Transport (OOPT) group, has recommended a cell site router deployment model which simplifies design and operation of carrier networks. As networks evolve to 5G, this collaboration will offer technology that is more open and that offers more choices, faster innovation, and cost efficiencies, supporting customer growth and increased demand for data.
