OcNOS Optical Transport Solution combines modular packet transponder systems such as TIP Cassini with the latest coherent optical technology. The modular platform delivers best-in-class NOS on the Cassini platform with a choice of different ACO or DCO coherent modules. Supported with open interfaces for automation and ease of operation, the solution is applicable for Data Center Interconnect (DCI), long haul and mobile backhaul transport.
OcNOS-OTN offers a cost-effective solution for rolling out 100G and 200G services for increasing existing network capacity. The Cassini platform has up to eight 100G or 200G pluggable cards and pluggable coherent optical modules, delivering up to 1.6T in a 1U or 1.5U chassis, and enabling pay-as-you grow architecture.
Phoenix is an open and disaggregated optical transponder/muxponder which transforms traditionally closed DWDM networks into a fully flexible transport layer, easy to operate, control and provision for accelerated time-to-service and optimized total cost of ownership. Phoenix will allow Operators to implement a Pay-As-You-Grow model where one or more Phoenix(s) can be added to an existing Operator optical network, without service disruption, just connecting Phoenix to any free Mux/Demux port. Phoenix can be used to serve not only internal traffic demands but also to provide customer connectivity services (capacity). Phoenix consist of commercial off-the-shelf HW, carrier grade software (NOS) and open/standard based APIs.
Phoenix is designed to face the current growth for bandwidth demand. The device form factor and modularity is envisaged for direct applicability in DCI scenarios, although more and more operators and carrier networks are moving to DC form factors (racking & stacking, power, etc.).
OcNOS-OTN will also add support for 400G transponders based on the TIP Phoenix platform.
