IP Infusion to Partner with Exertis to Distribute OcNOS Network Operating System for Dell in Europe’s Emerging Countries

SANTA CLARA, Calif., February 3, 2016 – IP Infusion, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent network software for telecom and data communications services, today announced that it will partner with Exertis, a leading distributor of technology products for the B2B, retail and mobile markets, to distribute OcNOS™, the first, full-featured network operating system for data center and enterprise networking, to Dell customers in EMEA’s emerging markets.

OcNOS is a modular, disaggregated, high-performance network operating system for Open Compute Platforms. The highly available and scalable OcNOS architecture is optimized for both physical and virtual environments, with extensive support for IP/MPLS routing, switching, and security. The extensible software architecture allows network operators to keep pace with evolving network needs, reducing the time to deploy new services while lowering costs for network operations.

Exertis, one of Europe’s largest and fastest growing technology distribution and specialist service  providers, partners with 350 global technology brands and over 22,850 retailers and resellers. Exertis currently trades with Dell in 18 countries in EMEA and plays a key role in Dell’s vendor consolidation process.

“With this partnership with IP Infusion, we will provide tailored, service-focused solutions for OcNOS through a transparent, simplifies, flexible supply chain,” said Vincent McGrath, the Dell EMEA A/C Manager at Exertis. “We are looking forward to working with IP Infusion to provide an ‘instant on’ solution for Dell customers based on the OcNOS network operating software for technology companies in EMEA’s emerging countries.”

IP Infusion previously announced that Dell customers are able to purchase the OcNOS network operating system to run on Dell’s S6000 high performance Open Networking systems through a distribution agreement. Under this partnership, Dell worked closely with IP Infusion to help provide enterprise customers with a cost-effective and scalable Data Center Switching, enterprise class Layer 2, Layer 3 switching and MPLS-based network virtualization solution that provides secure connectivity and aggregated management. This joint solution enables enterprise customers to adopt MPLS virtualization capabilities within their data centers and campus environments at a fraction of the cost, power, space and cooling requirements as compared to today’s market offerings.

“IP Infusion’s OcNOS allows customers to keep pace with their evolving high performance network needs and to reduce their time to deploy new services, while lowering costs for Enterprise network operations with a modular, disaggregated network operating system,” said Kiyo Oishi, CEO and president of IP Infusion. “We are proud to have Exertis as our distribution channel partner to bring OcNOS to emerging countries in Europe.”
