Die Herausforderung und das Ergebnis

Lintasarta selected IP Infusion's OcNOS SP for its core and edge access networks, replacing legacy devices with a disaggregated, interoperable solution that supports EVPN and Segment Routing.

Ergebnis: Carrier-grade, terabit-scale capacity lets Lintasarta scale for long-term demand, lower overall costs, and eliminate vendor lock-in across its Next Generation Network.

Lintasarta, an Indonesian information and communication technology services company serving more than 2,400 corporate customers across over 35,000 networks, selected IP Infusion to upgrade its legacy core and edge access infrastructure. The deployment gives Lintasarta a progressive migration path with carrier-grade capacity, lower cost, and freedom from vendor lock-in across its Next Generation Network platform.

The Challenge

Lintasarta needed to modernize a legacy network that supports fiber optic data services, satellite, managed security, data centers, cloud, and managed services for a large customer base across Indonesia's complex geography. The upgrade had to scale for long-term bandwidth growth, contain costs, and remain interoperable with the existing network during the transition so services would not be disrupted.

The Solution

Lintasarta chose IP Infusion's Aggregation Router and Data Center solutions, running OcNOS SP across its core and multiple edge access networks. The disaggregated software approach delivered the required performance and feature set and replaced legacy devices on a phased timeline.

  • OcNOS SP for core, aggregation, and access roles
  • Ethernet VPN (EVPN) and Segment Routing (SR) feature support
  • Interoperability with the existing network for a seamless migration
  • Open, tested software decoupled from proprietary hardware

Outcomes

The deployment future-proofs Lintasarta's infrastructure with terabit-scale bandwidth headroom that the company describes as fundamental to its network plan over the next decade. Disaggregation lets Lintasarta spin up new services faster and more economically, while eliminating vendor lock-in protects the network against supply chain disruptions.

  • Carrier-grade capacity to scale for long-term requirements
  • Reduced overall cost versus the legacy stack
  • Faster, more economical rollout of new services
  • Vendor lock-in eliminated across core and edge
