Lintasarta, Indonesia's Information and Communication Technology Leader, Selects IP Infusion Software for Core and Edge Access Networks

Una capacidad de nivel operador a escala de terabits permite a Lintasarta escalar ante la demanda a largo plazo, reducir los costes globales y eliminar la dependencia del proveedor Generation Network.

Historia de despliegue

El desafío y el resultado

Lintasarta selected IP Infusion's OcNOS SP for its core and edge access networks, replacing legacy devices with an open, interoperable solution that supports EVPN and Segment Routing.

The Challenge

Lintasarta serves more than 2,400 corporate customers across over 35,000 networks, delivering fiber optic data services, satellite, managed security, data centers, cloud, and managed services throughout Indonesia's complex geography. All of it ran on legacy core and edge access equipment.

Modernizing that estate came with three constraints. The new platform had to absorb years of bandwidth growth, hold cost down, and interoperate with the network already in service so no customer lost a service mid-transition. Lintasarta needed a progressive migration path, not a forklift replacement.

The Solution

Lintasarta chose IP Infusion's Aggregation Router and Data Center solutions, running OcNOS SP in core, aggregation, and multiple edge access roles. Open networking software met the performance and feature requirements of every one of those roles, and legacy devices came out on a phased timeline.

  • OcNOS SP for core, aggregation, and access roles
  • Ethernet VPN (EVPN) and Segment Routing (SR) feature support
  • Interoperability with the existing network for a seamless migration
  • Open, tested software decoupled from proprietary hardware

Resultados

Lintasarta describes the terabit-scale headroom as fundamental to its network plan for the next decade, so the capacity question is answered well past the current growth curve. Because the software is no longer tied to one supplier's hardware, Lintasarta turns up new services faster and more economically, and a shortage at any single vendor no longer stalls the Next Generation Network build.

  • Capacity planned over a decade instead of one purchase cycle
  • Lower overall cost than the legacy stack it replaces
  • New services launched faster and at lower cost per rollout
  • Supply chain risk spread across multiple hardware sources in core and edge
