OcNOS End-of-Sale & End-of-Life schedule
Every OcNOS release follows a five-year life cycle from General Availability — three years of active sale plus two further years of technical support. Below: the complete EoS / EoL schedule for OcNOS, IP Maestro, and qualified hardware platforms, plus every official EoS announcement.
The OcNOS five-year product life cycle
End of Sale (EoS) marks the last date for new purchase orders or renewals. Customers continue to receive technical support for two further years, until End of Life (EoL). EoS / EoL announcements are issued at least six months in advance.
This describes the OcNOS software release life cycle and its end-of-engineering, end-of-sale, and end-of-life policies. Every OcNOS release has a life cycle of 5 years from General Availability, progressing through an Engineering Phase, a Maintenance Phase, and a Support Phase as shown below.

IP Infusion provides new features and new platform support in addition to bug fixes. The OcNOS software comes ready for deployment anywhere in customer networks where their features and functionality of the release are of value. General Availability (GA) releases are stable releases that have gone through a complete QA test cycle, including regression, scalability, interoperability and long-term stability testing. These deployment-ready releases provide advanced software capabilities on the latest available commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms.
Maintenance Release (MR)
IP Infusion will address issues identified in a particular GA release via a Maintenance Release (MR). Typically, MRs are delivered 60–90 days after the GA release. Based on the number of incoming defects subsequent MRs are scheduled if necessary.
Engineering Phase
During the engineering phase both the internal found defects and customer found defects will be delivered via MRs.
End of Engineering (EoE)
The milestone, one year and six months after General Availability, at which the Engineering Phase ends and the release transitions into the Maintenance Phase.
Maintenance Phase
During the maintenance phase IP Infusion will deliver customer found defects via MRs.

The last date on which purchase orders and support services can be placed for the affected product.
Support Phase
During the support phase, customers continue to receive technical assistance. However, software updates and bug fixes are no longer delivered within the existing release, and issue resolution may require upgrading to a newer software release version.

After this date, the product is no longer actively maintained, and users are generally encouraged to migrate to newer releases.
Product Life Cycle Disclaimer
Software enhancements, feature updates, and improvements are subject to the availability and supportability of the underlying hardware and platform.
- Once a platform has been declared End of Sale (EoS), any platform-dependent software enhancements will no longer be possible.
- During the active life cycle of a product, software enhancements may be provided; however, their implementation will be dependent on the capabilities and limitations of the supporting hardware.
- Customers should consider hardware specifications, compatibility, and life-cycle status when planning for product upgrades or enhancements.
