IP INFUSION TO DEMONSTRATE ITS PORTABLE, PLATFORM INDEPENDENT
IPv4 AND IPv6 ROUTING SUITE AT NETWORLD+INTEROP 2001 LAS VEGAS
May 4, 2001, San Jose, California - IP Infusion Inc.,
a leading supplier of portable networking software, today announced
that it will be demonstrating its ZebOS Advanced Routing SuiteT
(ZebOST), with support for both IPv4 and IPv6 routing, on its own
network as well as part of the Interop network at NetWorld+Interop
2001 Las Vegas.
"IP Infusion will be one of the first vendors to demonstrate and
deliver portable, platform independent IPv6 routing solutions on
a number of platforms. We will show IPv6 and IPv4 versions of OSPF,
BGP, and RIP on VxWorks, Unix, and various Internet devices," said
Nick Keating, President and CEO of IP Infusion. "This will show
that our ZebOS Advanced Routing Suite can be easily ported on a
variety of platforms, operating systems, and processors. In addition,
we will show that we can address both the current IPv4 and future
IPv6 routing protocols in a single package."
ZebOS contains a unique, modular, multi-process architecture built
around the ZebOS Network Services module. Protocol modules for OSPF,
BGP, and RIP for both IPv4 and IPv6 communicate with the Network
Services module to provide routing table information and updates.
The Network Services module maintains a central routing information
base, performs route conversion, route redistribution, and configuration
management for the protocol modules. ZebOS has a platform-independent
and modular architecture that allows all portions of the suite to
be easily integrated into both switch and router platforms.
"Because we support both IPv4 and IPv6 versions of the industry
standard routing protocols, we can address a range of embedded equipment
markets, including both access, edge, and core devices," added Keating.
"Vendors selecting ZebOS have access to the most advanced, IETF
compliant routing software on the market."
ZebOS Advanced Routing Suite has been designed to interoperate
with network equipment from Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, and
other popular network equipment manufacturers. SNMP MIB support
is provided to enable network management, billing, and provisioning
applications. It has been ported to a variety of platforms including:
VxWorks, Linux, Solaris, and BSD.
