IP INFUSION SUCCESSFULLY PARTICIPATES IN THE
NETWORLD+INTEROP 2002 LAS VEGAS MPLS INTEROPERABILITY INITIATIVE
May 29, 2002, San Jose, California - - IP Infusion Inc,
a leading provider of intelligent network software for enhanced
IP services, announced today that it participated in the NetWorld+Interop
2002 Las Vegas InteropNet Labs (iLabs) MPLS interoperability initiative
on May 7-9th. IP Infusion tested its RSVP-TE, LDP, CSPF, and MPLS-VPN
software and successfully interoperated with a number of leading
communications equipment vendor implementations.
"NetWorld+Interop's iLabs MPLS interoperability program was
an excellent forum to test and validate MPLS across a wide variety
of vendor implementations. This kind of test environment is ideal
to verify interoperability with key industry vendors before customers
attempt to implement multiple vendor solutions," said Dr. Govind
Desale, vice president of operations at IP Infusion. "IP Infusion
was the only source code software supplier to participate in this
interoperability initiative, and we successfully tested our entire
MPLS product line."
The MPLS interoperability initiative allowed vendors to test against
a number of leading MPLS solutions, including those from: Cisco,
Juniper, Riverstone, Avici, Foundry Networks, Ixia, Extreme, and
Unisphere. IP Infusion was one of a few vendors that provided RSVP-TE,
CR-LDP, and CSPF solutions.

of IETF's Fast-Reroute Draft
MPLS can provide increased profitability and a competitive advantage
for service providers by offering more flexibility in service provisioning.
The NetWorld+Interop 2002 Las Vegas iLabs demonstrated that MPLS
technology has matured to the point where it can support more scalable
and sophisticated services, like point-to-multipoint VPNs, RSVP
and Fast-Reroute traffic engineering. The iLabs MPLS Initiative
showed networking professionals how MPLS can impact their enterprise
networks and what is needed to leverage these services.
About IP Infusion's ZebOS Routing Suites
IP Infusion designs, develops, and markets its ZebOS family
of advanced IP routing suites, which are based on a unique, modular,
multi-process architecture featuring control-plane components that
provide route redistribution and conversion, management services,
and an OS/processor abstraction layer for routing and switching
modules. This high-performance routing software features IPv4 and
IPv6 versions of OSPF, BGP, and RIP routing protocols; MPLS, BGP-VPN,
RSVP-TE, and CR-LDP switching and signaling protocols; and Mobile
IP and virtual routing support. The ZebOS software suites can be
delivered either as portable, platform-independent source code or
in server solutions.
