MICROWARE, INTEL, RADISYS, AND IP INFUSION OFFER "INTEL® IXP1200 NETWORK PROCESSOR: GET CONNECTED" SEMINARS

July 9, 2001, Des Moines, Iowa - Microware Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: MWAR), a leading provider of embedded networking and communications software solutions, announced that four companies - Intel, RadiSys, IP Infusion and Microware - will sponsor a series of free, half-day educational seminars for designers and developers looking for performance gains with their Intel IXP1200 network processors. The seminars will feature representatives from each company discussing how to best integrate their solution into one, complete software and hardware solution for IXP1200 development.

The first "Intel® IXP1200 Network Processor: Get Connected" seminars will be held in Sunnyvale, CA July 10, 2001, and Irvine, CA, July 31, 2001. Future seminars are being scheduled across the U.S. during summer and fall.
