FURUKAWA ELECTRIC SELECTS IP INFUSION'S ZEBOS ADVANCED ROUTING SUITE TO POWER THEIR FITELNET G-SERIES GIGABIT ROUTERS

July 17, 2001, Tokyo, Japan and San Jose, California - Furukawa Electric and IP Infusion announced today that IP Infusion's ZebOST Advanced Routing Suite (ZebOS) has been integrated into Furukawa Electric's FITELnet G-Series Gigabit Routers, which include the FITELnet-G10 and FITELnet-G40. ZebOS will provide BGP-4 protocol support to enable VPN-MPLS service for the routers. QoS support for Multicast Delivery Service, combined with the ZebOS Advanced Routing Suite, provides high-powered, flexible solutions for carriers, ISP's, content delivery, and metropolitan area networks.

The FITELnet-G10 and G-40 Gigabit Routers will be ready for shipping in the 3rd quarter of 2001. Both the G10 and G40 provide wire speed IP routing and filtering, MPLS and BGP-4 support for IP-VPN services, OSPF and RIP routing support, high-speed queuing for streaming applications through QOS support for Multicast Delivery Service.

IP Infusion's ZebOS Advanced Routing Suite not only has a unique modular, scalable architecture that allows vendors to quickly integrate routing protocols into their platforms, but also has support for both IPv4 and IPv6 routing protocols.
