LG Electronics Chooses IP Infusion's ZebOS Advanced Routing Suite for their Next Generation Broadband, Multi-Service Switch/Router

Seoul, South Korea and San Jose, CA, July 16, 2002 – LG Electronics and IP Infusion announced today that IP Infusion's ZebOS™ Advanced Routing Suite (ZebOS) is being integrated into LG Electronic's (LGE) Next Generation Broadband, Multi-Service Edge/Core Switch and Router System. ZebOS will provide IPv4, IPv6, and MPLS traffic engineering and VPN software support for LGE's Edge/Core Switch/Routers. The family of Multi-Service Switch/Routers (MSR) from LG Electronics will provide a variety of services, including: data, video, and voice interconnection.

LG Electronics Multi-service Edge Switch (CellBit) will be ready for shipping in 4Q, 2002. Multi-service Edge/Core Switch & Router (MSR) will be ready for shipping in 2Q, 2003. The MSR is a high-performance switch that supports ATM, IP, MPLS, POS, Gigabit Ethernet, FR, and CES. In IPOA service, it can achieve data-gram termination and can connect the Gigabit backbone router to ATM or POS with STM-1 rates or higher. Because it can connect the Gigabit Ethernet and Fast Ethernet, it can also be used as an access application. The MSR also provide redundant hardware and fault-tolerant software that guarantees carrier-class performance and stability.

IP Infusion provides IS-ISv4 as well as OSPF, BGP, and RIP for both IPv4 and IPv6 routing support of the MSR. In addition, IP Infusion also provides MPLS LDP, RSVP-TE, and BGP-VPN (MPLS-VPN) extensions for use in the MSR.
