IP INFUSION ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF ZEBOST ADVANCED ROUTING SUITE FOR PMC-SIERRA AND MOMENTUM COMPUTER'S MIPS-BASED OCELOT FAMILY OF COMPACTPCI® SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT PLATFORMS

January 10, 2002, San Jose, California - IP Infusion today announced the integration of its ZebOST Advanced Routing Suite (ARS), the industry's most advanced software development solution designed for networking, communications, and wireless developers, with the MIPS-based Ocelot family of CompactPCI® System Development Kit (SDK) platforms co-developed by PMC-Sierra and Momentum Computer. The SDK platforms provide networking developers with high performance, low power, hot-swappable and auto-sensing features required in high-bandwidth communication system applications such as Internet core routers, wireless base stations, xDSL equipment and storage area networks (SAN). ZebOS has a unique modular, scalable architecture that allows OEMs to quickly integrate IP routing and MPLS switching protocols into their platforms.

Future Software Integration
IP Infusion initially integrated its IPv4 routing suite, including OSPFv2, BGP-4, and RIP, on the PMC-Sierra SDK using WindRiver VxWorks RTOS. This solution has undergone extensive conformance and performance testing using both the Empirix ANVL and IXIA performance tools. In addition, IP Infusion and PMC-Sierra plan future integration of IPv6 routing solutions based on Linux and OSE operating systems later this year.

Availability and Resources
IP Infusion's ZebOS™ Advanced Routing Suite is based on an unique, modular, multi-process architecture, which is built around the Network Services Module (NSM). The NSM provides route redistribution and conversion, management services, and an OS/processor abstraction layer for both the routing and switching modules. Protocol Modules for OSPF, BGP, and RIP for IPv4 and IPv6 use the services of the NSM to provide routing table information and updates. MPLS Modules for LDP and the MPLS Forwarder also use the NSM for central management and routing integration.
