IP INFUSION ANNOUNCES SERVER VERSIONS OF ITS UNIQUE ZEBOS ADVANCED ROUTING SUITE FOR EARLY DEPLOYMENT AND TESTING OF IPv6 SERVICES

August 23, 2001, San Jose, California - Industry leader IP Infusion today announced that it has released server versions of its popular ZebOS" Advanced Routing Suite (ZebOS ARS). The ZebOS" Server Routing Suite (ZebOS SRS) is delivered in binary format and supports IPv6 and IPv4 routing packages for BGP, OSPF, and RIP. With its full IPv6 routing support, the Server Routing Suite is targeted at service providers, hosting vendors, telecommunications providers, and enterprise sites for test and early deployment of IPv6. The IPv4 version can be used for router backup, load balancing, and disaster recovery solutions

IP Infusion's ZebOS Server Routing Suite delivers a full IPv4 and IPv6 routing suite containing OSPFv2, OSPFv3, BGP-4+, RIP, and RIPng protocol modules. All of these protocols modules are built on top of the ZebOS Network Services Module (NSM), which provides route table management, route conversion, and route redistribution services. Server versions of this software are immediately available for Solaris, Linux, and FreeBSD. With this powerful software now available, it is possible to build route server solutions using standard server and network appliances. Route server solutions can be used not only to augment existing routing infrastructure, but also to provide additional routing, billing & provisioning, and management services.

With the ZebOS SRS delivering IPv6 routing protocol solutions, it is now possible for service providers, hosting vendors, telecommunications providers, and enterprise sites to roll out the early deployment of IPv6 services. ZebOS contains provisions for providing both IPv4 and IPv6 dual routing stack solutions. With translation and tunneling protocols, ZebOS can be used in IPv6 native, IPv6 over IPv4, and IPv6 to IPv4 based networks. The ZebOS SRS solutions allow service providers and enterprise sites the ability to gain early experience with IPv6 without purchasing dedicated, expensive equipment.

About ZebOS Server Routing Suite
In development since 1996, IP Infusion's routing software is currently in use at thousands of sites worldwide and is one of the most prevalent IPv4 and IPv6 routing protocol packages on the market today. The ZebOS SRS version 1.1 is based on the ZebOS ARS, a source code package targeted at network equipment vendors. The ZebOS SRS is based on the NSM and a number of routing protocol modules for IPv4 and IPv6. The NSM incorporates an optional Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) feature that provides hot standby router support. Protocol modules for OSPFv2, OSPFv3, RIP, RIPng, and BGP-4+ are available. A rich set of expanded OSPF features have been added to the current OSPF product that include NSSA, Opaque LSA, Database Overflow and OSPF Traffic Engineering Extensions. The ZebOS SRS is designed to interoperate with Cisco, Juniper, Foundry Networks and other popular routing systems.
