IP Infusion Powers Media Global Links' MD10000 IP Video Router
IP Infusion's ZebOS® and Services Enable Delivery
of World's Largest Single-Chassis IP Video Router
SAN JOSE, California, April 24, 2008 — IP Infusion, an ACCESS Company and provider of leading intelligent network software solutions powering communications equipment for packet-based Next Generation Networks (NGN), today announced it has successfully integrated its ZebOS Advanced Routing Suite (ARS) with Media Global Links' MD10000 IP Video Router to provide Layer 2 switching for a first-of-its-kind video routing solution to be installed at Fuji TV's new network operations center in Tokyo, Japan. The new network operations center will make Fuji TV the world's first television station to deploy a fully IP-based internal and external video routing solution. Media Global Links' MD10000 with ZebOS will become the world's largest IP video router in a single chassis. The system will handle both conventional video streams and advanced media files of many types, including next generation MXF files increasingly used in high-quality video production.
IP Infusion's ZebOS Advanced Routing Suite (ARS) is a scalable, robust and standards-based Layer 2 and Layer 3 carrier-class switching and routing software solution that allows OEMs and ODMs to rapidly add networking capabilities to their new or existing lines of communications products. The ZebOS ARS platform-independent architecture enables equipment manufacturers to choose from an impressive array of protocols and solutions to add to their equipment offerings.
The Media Global Links' MD10000 non-blocking Ethernet switch with 160 10Gbit/s ports is the centerpiece of Fuji TV's IP/Ethernet network and will convey high definition video and data streams between studios, data centers, control rooms and sites of live action. This network is capable of switching up to 800 uncompressed HDTV video streams simultaneously.
